POLL about Payment Option

Hi Everyone,

We are having some issues about getting a PO Box for the Money Order payment option. It is costly to get a PO Box (we have to hire it for an entire year) and we're not sure how many of you are interested in getting Money Order to justify opening one.

Would you mind voting on the POLL we've just created, on the top-right side of this blog? Please choose your preferred payment option (you can choose more than one option).

Thanks so much for helping us out. We really appreciate that you are taking the time to do this.

Regards,

  3. OK so I'm all set with bank tfr, cash waiting to go... Just tell me how to get 2 tickets and the money is on its way. I don't mean to be pushy, I REALLY REALLY (can't stress enough how much) appreciate you guys organising this Cilla and Shann, but flights especially are starting to book out for that weekend and I don't want to pay for flights and hotel til I can be sure I have a reason to go.

I work for a bank and if ppl don't have access to paypal, as long as they have the BSB and account number for the How To Be Tickets there should be at least 3 ways to pay. Either transfer with pay anyone on internet banking, secondly most banks if you go in will transfer money over the coubter by Telegraphic Transfer to a BSB and Account number at another bank (they may charge a fee - and if its a proper TT it will be in the account in 24 hours) and thirdly you can walk into the bank (lets say NAB or Westpac if thats were the HTB Aussie Screening account is held) and deposit money straight into the account over the counter for free. Most of the bigger banks will have info on their websites on where to locate branches or you can ring their telephone banking to find your closest branch.

Hope this helps ppl who were counting on the Money order option.

Look forward to seeing you all there. And Case, I really hope you can make it over from NZ!!

  6. Hey Cilla & Shann - can you just confirm whether you have started taking RSVPs? I know everyone seems to be asking for tickets in different sections of this blog (I know I have - see comments in Event Poster) or are you going to set up a specific RSVP section? I don't envy you both - we must be driving you all mad!!!!!

  8. Umm trivial question but i have a canvas card, which is like a prepaid credit card; so would that make me a paypal person? I've never used paypal before...
    *feels dumb*

  9. You have to register for an account on Paypal. (www.paypal.com.au) and link a bank card or credit card to a paypal account. Then u transfer money INTO the paypal account so that you may send it to whomever then its ok... at least thats how I have always used it for ebay and all that.

  12. Bank transfer for me is easier, I can do it over the internet, if you email me the details (account name, BSB, account number, what to put as a reference). I will need 4 tickets :D!

  14. Dear All,

Thanks so much for taking time to leave a comment :)
Rest assure that when we're ready to take RSVP, you guys will be receiving a notification from the blog (if you have the blog followed).
There will be a special section detailing payment options and RSVP.
Don't worry, it'll be open fairly soon (this week).

    Have a great day!
    Shann

  19. Hi Cilla and the rest of the committed organisers.

I would like to echo Josh and Emma's comments regarding flights. Many of us plan to come from out of state, and the prices for flights are going up daily, with the affordable seats getting sold off quickly.

I know you are trying to be democratic about this, but 5 more days of voting on the payment methods seems like a very long time.

You already have a decent sized sample set which would probably be statistically valid. I would like to politely suggest you allow people to vote only through tomorrow so you can move forward with selling tickets and we avid fans can book our flights. The people who are following this site certainly will be checking it often enough to have voted by then.

I really appreciate your efforts, and so look forward to this event.

  20. I shall further look into paypal then if its just a sign up away.

  21. With regards to reserving tickets... Once he have reserved one (note the optimism) do you send us an actual physical ticket, or do we get an email that we print out or how does it work? If you post out tickets can I please pay extra for registered post??? I'm not taking any chances. And will it be gen ad, or do we need to reserve a particular seat.

Also the merch that may be selling... will there be a soundtrack??? I imagine it will be as quirky as the film and I love that sort of thing.

    Thanks again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  24. Hi Everyone,

We won't be sending out physical tickets, just an email confirmation that you need to bring with you when you claim the tickets on the day of the event.

And we will be posting the Ticket Payment details on this Blog ASAP..either tonight or tomorrow, at the latest.

In terms of merchandise, as far as I know, we won't be having the Film Soundtrack for sale. If there is any change, we will inform you as soon as we find out.

Thanks again for everyone's enthusiasm! Can't wait to see all of you there.
